Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health/Center for Communication
Programs (CCP) is an international non-profit organization, headquartered in
Baltimore. It envisions a world in which communication saves lives, improves
health, and enhances well-being.
WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) promotion is one of CCP’s project
funded by UNICEF has the objective of promoting water, sanitation and
hygiene, to school children and communities in Aceh. The program is a pilot
project designed to increase the knowledge, positive attitudes and practice
of the five hygienic behaviours in 60 Schools and communities in Banda Aceh
and Aceh Besar Districts of NAD. The duration of the project is planned for
15 months. Currently CCP for its WASH project urgently opening vacancies for
the following position:
1. Program Manager (PM)
Under the supervision of Country Representative and guidance from Technical
Advisor, Program Manager is responsible to ensure that the implementation
of all activities within program and follow the program work plan.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
1. Manage all program activities (technical and non technical/ Finance
Admin) to ensure program implementation are in line with work plan (time
line, cost and quality), including to coordinate regular coordination
meeting to monitor program implementation progress, identify problems and
recommend solutions and keep abreast of its follow through steps.
2. Supervise Program Officers, and Consultants in community and primary
schools mobilization activities to implement components in the hygiene
promotion/advocacy and make sure the standard meets CCP Hygiene Promotion
and UNICEF SSHE Standard.
3. Supervise the development of training manuals, implementation of
Workshops, and implementations of surveys in accordance with CCP and UNICEF
SSHE standards
4. Prepare all project reports.
5. Attend and initiate meeting with GOI (related local MOE/ Minister of
Education and others), donors, NGO officials to ensure high level
coordination and collaboration.
6. Maintain good relationship with NGOs and government partners and
provide ongoing monitoring of work plan schedule.
7. Identify programmatic linkages between existing programs to maximize
impact of CCP implemented programs in Aceh and ensure that updates and
information about program are shared across different programs and projects.
8. Maintain and make sure that Aceh office policy compliance with CCP
Indonesia and/or Baltimore and UNICEF policies.
9. Supervise and lead daily activities of the Project internally and
externally.
10. Provide oversight in the area of financial management,
administration and personnel for the Aceh programs.
11. Other duties as requested by the Country Representative.
Position Requirement :
* University degree majoring in communication, or other social
sciences.
* A minimum of 8 years Experience in Project Management and
Implementations of small to medium size projects.
* Good track of records in INGO projects. Experience in Water and
Sanitation projects will be a great advantage.
* Possess good interpersonal skills and time management skills.
* Ability to collaborate with GOI and local government officials,
donor, and partner organizations.
* Has good written and oral communication skills in both Bahasa
Indonesia and English
* Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as MS Word, Excel,
Power point is a must.
2. Program Officers (PO)
Under the supervision of the Project Manager the Program Officer will work
closely with Hygiene Education Expert, Watsan Engineer and Schools involved
in the “WASH” program. The Program Officer shall be responsible for the
development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Assist in program management including work plan development,
implementation and evaluation.
2. Assist the administrative support for substantive activities
including project development, monitoring, technical assistance, training
and evaluation.
3. Coordinate logistics arrangement of hygiene education/promotion
material.
4. Collect data and field information as required
5. Prepare budget for field activities and field report
6. Provide input in the identification of key individuals and
organizations (government, international and national/ local NGOs, donor
agencies and community organization) conducting hygiene education program.
7. Maintain good relationship with program stakeholders and provide
ongoing monitoring of work plan schedule.
8. Contact, arrange meeting with stakeholders/ partners of program.
9. Assist in identifying programmatic linkages between existing
programs to maximize impact of CCP implemented programs in Aceh and ensure
that updates and information about program are shared across different
programs and projects.
10. Team up with UNICEF programmatic Staff to ensure optimal performance
and outcome of this program.
11. Other duties assigned by Project Coordinator.
Position Requirement :
* A minimum of University degree majoring in Communication/ Management
or related field.
* 5 years experience working in the field of health communication,
experience working with international donor agencies is also important
* Experience working with Water and Sanitation program would be an
added advantage
* Possess excellent interpersonal, presentation and time management
skills
* Has excellent written and oral communication skills, both in Bahasa
Indonesia and English
* Working knowledge of basic computer programs such as MS Word, Excel,
Power point.
* Result-oriented, independent, is used to work in an international
and multicultural environment
