Lowongan BP Indonesia
Referring BP's Job 40307043 -- Graduate Operations Engineers to you:
BP Indonesia is one of the largest foreign investors in this country.
Two important events led to BP's current position in Indonesia; the
first was the acquisition of ARCO in 2000, the second, on 6 March
2005, was the go-ahead given by the Indonesian Government for the
Tangguh Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project in Bintuni Bay of Papua.
Tangguh LNG is a huge undertaking that will involve the tapping of
around 14.4 trillion cubic feet of clean gas. The land acquired for
the processing facility measures 3,200 hectares, much of which will
remain a `green zone'. When fully operational, the facility will be
maintained by a workforce of 500 people. The first gas to be exported
from Tangguh is due in 2009 and it is planned to supply the LNG to
customers as far as Korea, China and North America.
The West Java operation is Indonesia's largest supplier of gas to West
Java market. It supports state-owned electricity company PLN and state
gas company PGN for customers in the capital of Jakarta and
neighboring areas. These fields have been operating since 1971 and
today produce 27,000 barrels of oil a day as well as 320 million cubic
feet of gas. The production facilities comprise 468 producing strings,
171 producing platforms, and 40 processing & service facilities. More
than 1000 miles of pipeline inter-connect the production facilities.
